The quirky Ptolomeo bookstand by Bruno Rainaldi gives a wonderful illusion of books piled up on top of one another in a seemingly haphazard way.Launched to great acclaim at the Milan Furniture Fair in 2002, each section of this unique sculptural piece is carefully engineered to spread the weight of the books evenly while the vertical arrangement means it takes up very little floor space. The stand is made from robust chromed and lacquered steel, and has a strong heavy base that ensures stability. It is available as a H160cm and H215cm free standing bookshelf and a H210cm wall mountable version. This bookstand would be ideal for any living room, home office or bedroom and is available in a white or black finish.
