The curvy Panthella Lamp by Verner Panton is one of his more popular designs and a bright choice for any room in need of a touch of seventies glamour. Launched in 1971, the sleek, fluid Panthella was designed with the aim to create a lamp in which the base as well as the shade would act as a reflector. Its light source is hidden under a white, hemispheric injection moulded acrylic shade which contributes to a soft distribution of light. The Panthella received the Bundespreis Gute Form award in Germany in 1972.It takes a maximum 150 watt A65 frosted bulb. It is also available as a table lamp.
