The Fun Lamp pendant by Verner Panton adds a touch of beauty to a room even when it is not lit.Designed in 1964, this light when not lit, constitutes a very decorative element and when lit, gives the room a festive, slightly oriental atmosphere. The lamps in the Fun series are composed of translucent round discs made from Mother of Pearl, which are flexibly connected with one another by small metal rings and arranged in chains of varying lengths. Each disc has a diameter of about 5cm and thickness of 0.5cm.The bulb is located in the centre of the lamp and the heat emitted from it creates thermal radiation that creates slight shimmer among the discs, which act as reflectors.It requires a 75 watt e27 bulb (not included).
