Designed by celebrated contemporary designer, Matthew Hilton, and made in Britain from high-quality sustainable materials, the Oscar armchair is the perfect balancing act. Aesthetically it marries authentic traditional style with contemporary design, and elegantly contracts perfect straight lines with delicate natural curves. Originally showcased at the 2009 Milan Furniture Fair, the armchair has a glorious European hardwood frame, jute webbing and hessian straps that provide a firm shape, while its natural fibre upholstery and solid walnut-stained beech turned legs offer a homely feel. The union of dark rich wood beneath soft natural fabrics, together with wonderfully comfortable feather-pad cushions produce an ideal finish to the armchair that has will last a lifetime.
