The beauty of this rug is the feeling of movement in the weave, created using very fine hand spun yarn that has been space-dyed to give it the linear, striated effect. The weaving process is very labour intensive and can only be worked on by the most skilled weavers. The manufacturer of this rug was one of the first suppliers that Terence Conran used in the 1960's and has since continued to supply Terence for the past 50 years.
