Designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in 1928, the LC3 armchair, manufactured by Cassina, was one of their first pieces of furniture. Prior to that, Le Corbusier had used ready-made furniture in his buildings. A plumper version of the LC2, its externalised chromed steel frame barely contains the leather-clad, down-wrapped cushions.
