The Type 75 is a modern interpretation of George Carwardine’s classic Anglepoise design.The Type 75 was launched in 2004 as the second design with Anglepoise by British designer Kenneth Grange and has since become Anglepoise’s top selling model.This black-painted aluminium extending light has a weight table base which helps it remain sturdy when being adjusted as well as giving it near perfect balance. Its height and angle are adjustable via a spring mechanism resulting in a very flexible light.The attractive design of the Type 75 has seen it featured in various TV programmes from The Bill to The Apprentice and even in hit films such as The Dark Knight and The Bourne Ultimatum.The original Anglepoise lamp was designed in 1932. It used a new type of spring he had designed that held the arm in place after it was set in the desired position. It requires a 60W bulb (not included) and is available in black and silver.
