Craft your own to-scale No. 14 Chair with this enticing Paper Model Kit from Onetosixteen by Tomoko Azumi and East London’s TNA Design Studio.
Originally designed by Michael Thonet in 1859, the chair was the first ever to be mass produced and was quickly found throughout Viennese coffee-house culture. Its steam bending production minimises waste and makes it an environmentally friendly technique that is still in use today.
Crafted in West Tokyo and flat-packed in a small bag, the kit consists of laser-cut paper parts, an instruction booklet and information on the iconic chair.
