Zig-Zag Chair Paper Model Kit

Craft your own to-scale Zig-Zag Chair with this enticing Paper Model Kit from Onetosixteen by Tomoko Azumi and East London’s TNA Design Studio.

Originally designed by Gerrit Rietveld in the 1930s, the chair was an exercise in purity of form that wasn’t seen as a chair, but rather a “little partition in space”. Featuring an oak base with brass fittings, it was one of the first ever examples of a cantilevered seat.

Crafted in West Tokyo and flat-packed in a small bag, the kit consists of laser-cut paper parts, an instruction booklet and information on the iconic chair.
