Inspired by the British tea culture and Japanese woodwork that Aino and Alvar Aalto encountered on their travels, the Tea Trolley 900 was designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek in 1937.
Launched internationally at Paris’ World Exhibition in 1937, this versatile trolley would look at home in any space. With a frame crafted from form-bent solid birch lamella, the trolley features a white ceramic tiled surface, MDF wheels and a rattan basket for added functionality.
Alvar Aalto was one of the founding members of Finnish manufacturer, Artek, and embraced strong individuality with focus on designing predominantly for humanity, creating functional and dynamic pieces for public and personal spaces alike.
The perfect centrepiece for afternoon tea and cocktails alike, the Tea Trolley 900 would make a stylish addition to any kitchen, dining space or living room.
