Originally designed by Franco Albini in 1928, the classic black Albini Desk is expertly crafted by Knoll to this day.
Exquisitely crafted with chromed steel legs, wooden drawers and topped with a polished plate glass desktop, this classic design demonstrates Albini's minimalist aesthetic.
Boasting striking clarity and balance, the Albini Desk is as practical as it is elegant. Finished with two stained black wooden drawers that appear as though floating beneath the glass table top, the drawers also have an open rear shelf for magazines or small books.
One of the first European designers commissioned to work with Knoll, much of Franco Albini’s furniture, including the Albini Desk, was designed to make use of the inexpensive raw materials that were available during the post-World War II era when other materials were scarce.
