Anni Albers’ 1926 wall hanging ‘Untitled’ has been beautifully transformed into an elegant rug by Christopher Farr, offering the unique opportunity to invest in a stunning collision between art and textiles.
Exquisitely hand-knotted by artisans in India using 100% hand-spun wool, the ‘Untitled’ Rug recreates Albers’ original tapestry using interlocking forms of stripes and blocks. Created using a triple-weave technique, the rug’s rich tomato, taupe, black and grey hues blend together in a bold latticed design.
Produced in association with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, this piece is one of just 150 limited-edition ‘Untitled’ Rugs and arrives beautifully packaged, displaying its unique edition number on the reverse.
Christopher Farr has been at the forefront of contemporary rug design since 1988. Utilising only the finest yarn and dyes and collaborating with the most talented weavers from across the world, the creation of a Christopher Farr piece is a painstaking process that results in rugs that are nothing less than works of art.
