This model is a replica of the iconic Ferrari Arno XI racing hydroplane that was inspired by Achille Castoldi in the early 1950s and built by Timossi Azzano’s Cantieri boatyard on Lake Como, Italy.
This official model of the Arno XI is entirely handmade, using solid mahogany wood for the hull and chrome for the minute metal details.
In order to create a perfectly smooth hull and deck, ten layers of varnish have been applied, intersected with increasingly fine stages of sanding, while the chrome is made by jewellers for a genuine shine on the finishing touches.
Made to a 1:12 scale, this model is mounted upon a sturdy mahogany presentation stand and supplied with a numbered certificate of authenticity, making it the most stunning talking point to have on display in your home.
