Soften the texture of your space with the chic Bakuba Blanket in a midnight pattern, handcrafted with time-honoured techniques passed down through generations.
Designed by Mungo, a collective in South Africa, the midnight Bakuba Blanket is inspired by the traditional weaving patterns of Kuba cloth, a ceremonial fabric historically woven with palm leaves by people in the Kuba Kingdom of the Congo.
Crafted from pure cotton grown in Swaziland, the Bakuba Blanket in a midnight hue is designed and woven in South Africa with a traditional chevron pattern, perfect for enlivening any soft furnishing with comfort and style.
Mungo was founded in 1998 by master weaver Stuart Holding, and to this day is a family-run firm located in the seaside town of Plettenberg Bay. Supporting the local economy and the integrity of traditional craftspeople, Mungo does not mass produce and weaves only using the highest quality natural fibres.
