Originally designed by Peter Keler in 1922 at the age of twenty, this vibrantly-hued small Bauhaus Cradle is crafted today by esteemed manufacturer Tecta and is exclusively available in the UK at The Conran Shop.
Expertly crafted in Germany from natural cane wickerwork and accented with a blue-lacquered tubular steel frame, the Bauhaus Cradle is finished in vibrant red, blue and yellow hues. An iconic addition to any home décor, the cradle can be used to store soft furnishings or as part of a stand-alone display.
A true design classic, the colourful finish of the cradle was inspired by the work of Keler’s tutor at the Bauhaus, Wassily Kandinsky. Originally designed as part of an assignment set by Walter Gropius, the cradle is a true symbol of Bauhaus design.
