Originally designed by Harry Bertoia in 1960 the iconic white Bertoia Plastic Side Chair with a chrome base is meticulously crafted by esteemed producer Knoll.
Making its debut at Salone del Mobile 2015, Bertoia's famous Side Chair was reissued in 2015 to celebrate what would have been Harry Bertoia's 100th birthday. Inspired by the 1952 wire Side Chair, the Plastic Side Chair modernises the familiar mid-century silhouette.
In a minimalist white finish, the coloured glass fibre reinforced nylon seat sits upon a base of polished chrome welded steel rods. Finished with the Knoll logo stamped into the back of the base as a mark of authenticity, this design classic is bound to enhance your interiors for years to come.
Renowned for his versatility, throughout his lifetime Harry Bertoia turned his hand to painting, jewellery and sound sculpture designs. Designing just one furniture collection, his designs are recognised worldwide as one of the greatest achievements of 20th century design.
