'Bitches Brew’ Vinyl Album

£25.00

Description

Courtesy of Colombia Records, ‘Bitches Brew’ is a Grammy Award-winning double album from jazz giant, Miles Davis.

‘Bitches Brew’ is a continuation of Davis’ experimentation with more electronic instruments, and initially divided critics due to its unconventional sound, but gradually gained recognition as one of the greatest jazz albums of its time. Davis rejected traditional jazz rhythm, favouring instead a more improvisational style.

‘Bitches Brew’ was recorded over three days in 30th Street Studios, with the musicians called at very short notice and told hardly anything of what they were going to be recording. Davis gave the musicians little to go on, preferring for them instead to have to be tuned in to each other and the sounds they were making in harmony.

This benchmark album provided a point of influence for many other musical genres, such as funk, and is a necessity for any collector’s library.
