Designed exclusively by The Conran Shop in an exciting collaboration with skilled east London makers Bert & May, the encaustic Inverse Curve Cement Tile in blue and ice grey hues is meticulously handcrafted in Andalucía, Spain and presents the opportunity for you to create a unique installation in your home. Please note: One square meter requires 25 tiles.
Showcasing a soft palette of blue and ice grey, inspired by hues present in modernist architecture, each Inverse Curve Tile is individually hand-poured with mineral pigments, compressed and then water-cured, in a specialist and intricate process that takes around 90 minutes per tile.
Configurable in limitless ways to create wave and curve patterns, this blue Inverse Curve Tile becomes a building block to make up your own bespoke installation, when paired with coordinating and inverse colourways or any other tile design in the collection.
Each The Conran Shop x Bert & May tile is hand poured in Spain by fourth-generation artisan Spanish tile makers and is dried and cured in the Spanish sunshine for two weeks. Crushed marble is added to create a durable hard-wearing tile with beautiful raw finish that only gets better with age.
The Curve Cement Tile’s mineral pigment encaustic nature ensures their unique hue will always resist fading, making them perfect for enhancing a variety of areas: fireplaces, floors, courtyards or stairways are just a starting point.
Please note: These tiles are unglazed for a beautifully distinctive finish, therefore require sealing before use. Click here to find out more: https://www.bertandmay.com/pages/tile-installation-guide
