Founded in Denmark by husband and wife duo Jesper and Vibeke Panduro in 1976, Skagerak is named after a strait of water that connects Denmark with its Scandinavian neighbours of Sweden and Norway. This evocative name reflects the strong links Skagerak has to Nordic design.
Each design Skagerak crafts is deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition and its affinity for quality craftsmanship and materials. As such, each piece it creates is a combination of state-of-the-art technology and a deep understanding of Nordic design and culture. Crafting classics by the likes of Jens Quistgaard and Bernt Santesson, Skagerak also collaborates with designers such as Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm and Anton Björsing to create future Scandinavian collectibles.
Each piece is crafted using the finest materials to ensure it lasts generations and leaves the smallest possible mark on our planet. As a certified B Corp manufacturer, Skagerak meets the highest possible standard in regard to social and environmental impact. Its transparent supply chain, ethical Code of Conduct and meticulous sourcing of materials ensures that each piece it creates helps to build a more sustainable future.
Designed by Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm for Skagerak, the Georg Mirror Strikes the perfect balance between Nordic and Japanese minimalism.
Easily displayed leaning against the wall, the design boasts a clean-lined mirror flanked by two wooden poles that can be used to hang bags, scarves and hats. Crafted using FSC-certified oak, the mirror’s clean-lined silhouette showcases the expert craftsmanship and quality materials behind it.
