First gaining recognition in the eighties for his work welding salvaged steel into radical furniture, self-taught designer Tom Dixon went on to create icons such as the S-Chair and the Pylon Chair before joining Habitat as its Head of Design in 1998. Going on to design the Bell Table Lamp and the Beat Lighting Collection, his designs can be found in the permanent collections at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, New York’s MoMA and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
Awarded an OBE in 2000 for his extraordinary contribution to British innovation and design, it comes as no shock that Tom Dixon is now a celebrated global force in interiors. Constantly reinventing himself and his aesthetic through a series of different designs, Tom Dixon has created the interiors for a host of high-profile projects. From L'AND Vineyards in Portugal to Hong Kong’s Alto restaurant, Tom Dixon’s instantly recognisable interiors can be found across the world.
The sculptural copper Etch Pendant Light by Tom Dixon is inspired by mathematics, symmetry and geodesic structures.
A striking visual piece, the Etch Pendant is crafted from sections of etched aluminium sheets in a copper hue, which, when illuminated, form complex shadows and patterns that add unique character and another dimension to its surroundings.
Perfect as a single eye-catching lighting solution or in a group as a sculptural display, the copper Etch Pendant is a creative and distinctive way to illuminate your space.
