Exclusive Tigmi Fruit Stand in Yellow

Designed exclusively for The Conran Shop, the Tigmi Fruit Stand from Bouchra Boudoua is handcrafted in Morocco, reinterpreting the centuries-old craft with a modern sensibility.

Crafted from terracotta and finished in a handpainted yellow glaze design, the piece is largely influenced by Boudoua's daily life in Morocco and travels around the region.

After studying Spatial Design at Central Saint Martins, Moroccan designer Bouchra Boudoua returned to Marrakech to set up a studio in collaboration with local potters, employing their many generations of knowledge in the field to create functional and decorative ceramic pieces for the home. Connecting to the roots of ceramics in Moroccan culture, Boudoua's work strives to find a balance between the worlds of craft and design, whilst maintaining a characterfully naïve aesthetic.
