Designed by Greta Grossman in 1951, the GMG Chaise Longue is brought to life by Copenhagen-based manufacturer GUBI.
Perfectly angled for lounging, the streamlined chair mirrors the body's natural curves for the ultimate relaxation. Appearing to almost float atop its slender legs, the form is a typical representation of Grossman's design aesthetic, balancing a delicate frame with powerful lines, combining her love of Scandinavian colours and textures with a reference to Californian modernism.
An icon of mid-century design, Greta M. Grossman fell into obscurity after her retirement in the late 1960s. Thanks to GUBI re-issuing a series of Grossman’s most celebrated and accomplished designs, she has rightfully reclaimed her place in the design hall of fame.
