Created for Finland’s University of Jyväskylä, the monochrome A331 'Beehive' Pendant Light was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1953 for his brand Artek.
Nicknamed the ‘Beehive’ after its distinctive shape, the light is one of Aalto’s most-favoured designs thanks to its sculptural appearance that always commands attention, even when unlit.
The Beehive diffuses an even glow, all while parading a hand-turned shade crafted from delicate, lacquered strips forming concentric circles around the bulb, complete with several rows of perforated chrome-plated steel rings.
Requires: 1x max. 12W E27 bulb (not included).
Care instructions: Use a soft cloth, dampened with water and soap, or mild cleanser if needed for resistant dirt; do not use alcohol or other solvents.
Cable Length: 250cm
