Description

Originally known as the Wassily Chair and designed by Marcel Breuer in 1926, the blue D4E Folding Outdoor Chair is crafted today by Tecta exclusively for The Conran Shop.

Showcasing a collapsible tubular brushed stainless steel frame that makes it the perfect addition to compact spaces, the statement chair features webbed upholstery for a comfortable seat. Crafted using a robust polyacrylic fabric in a considered hue, it is sure to make an elegant addition to any contemporary interior or exterior.

Named after Breuer’s contemporary Wassily Kandinsky, and a true design classic, the D4E features in the permanent collections of many museums, including New York's MoMA. One of the Bauhaus’ first students, Hungarian-born Breuer is widely considered one of the most popular and influential architects and furniture designers of the 20th century; a figurehead of the modernist movement.
