Description
Created by Zanotta to pay tribute to Carlo Mollino’s 1949 design, this beautiful black oak and smokey glass iteration of the Cavour Desk is exclusively available at The Conran Shop UK for a limited time.
The desk is characterised by its black-varnished oak frame and formed of three sections: an open storage compartment, a sculptural supporting leg and a set of drawers that acts as the second part of the base. A thick smokey grey glass desktop completes the design.
Inspired by the mantra that “everything is permissible as long as it is fantastic,” Italian architect, designer and photographer, Carlo Mollino, was one of the twentieth century’s most iconic designers, gifted at demonstrating undeniable foresight into the future of design.
