This cordless addition to the iconic Cesta family embodies the freedom of movement, as was designer Miguel Milá’s original intention when he designed it in 1962.

The subtle steam bent cherry wood frame holds in place an opal-shaped glass shade that houses an integrated LED bulb. Powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, the lamp is completely portable and, as the bearer of Mediterranean warmth and wellbeing, will emanate a warm glow wherever it is placed.

The enchanting Cesta and Cestita Lighting Collection was originally designed in 1962 by Miguel Milá, showcasing handcrafted constructions with traditionally steam-bent or metal and leather structures.

Miguel Milá was a pioneer of his generation; born in the 1950s, Spain’s industry was in crisis, meaning Milá grew up in a time where handmade things were not only the norm, but necessity. This drove Milá to design and create lamps and furniture that remains renowned to this day; his work is now known as the epitome of Catalan design.
