A controversial design at the time of its release in 1963, the CH07 Chair features a striking avant-garde silhouette and won a selection of design awards upon its re-release in 1998.

Carl Hansen & Søn has updated its a selection of classic designs in exquisite all-black editions, renewing the classic appearance of the CH07 by crafting it from black-stained beech wood. Accented with a supple black Thor leather seat cushion, the CH07 Shell Chair is supported by tapered legs crafted from two continuous pieces of laminated wood. Thor is a semi-aniline ox hide, which offers a natural grain and is coated for protection
