Designed in 1963 by Hans J. Wegner and produced by master craftsmen at Carl Hansen & Søn, the dynamic, sculptural presence of the CH07 Shell Chair is accented with white-oiled oak wood and 100% wool upholstery.

A controversial design at the time of its release in 1963, the CH07 Shell Chair features a striking avant-garde silhouette which initially divided the public’s opinion, however its elegant clean-lined aesthetic won it a selection of design awards upon its re-release in 1998.

This CH07 Shell Chair is handmade with a solid oak frame finished with white oil to enhance its natural grain, while its seat is accented with Kvadrat’s premium Divina fabric. The Danish textile specialist’s upholstery was first launched in 1984 and is crafted from 100% new wool for a hard-wearing finish.
