Selfridges Live Painting by Charlie Oscar Patterson
Charlie adds final details to a typographic project
South London-based artist and designer Charlie Oscar Patterson is known for his bold signature style, merging vibrant colour and striking graphics.
An array of tools and preliminary sketches
After graduating from Chelsea College of Arts, he pursued a career in art and design, crafting large scale artworks, eye-catching visual installations and clean-lined, illusion-inspired patterns.
Charlie finishes a work with his signature precision
A showcase of unique creative style, Charlie’s work is characterised and shaped by the lines and patterns he envisages while dreaming, awarding depth to his abstract works.
Intricate dot detailing to finalise a piece
His combination of vivid hues and precise form is set to adorn The Conran Shop Selfridges to celebrate the store’s first birthday, with live painting from the 19th September 2016. Visitors can watch as Charlie transforms our store space on the lower ground floor of Selfridges, Oxford Street in the late afternoons and early evenings from 19th – 23rd September, and the art wall will remain on display until mid-October.
You can read more about the live in-store demonstration and our Q&A with Charlie over on the Journal.
