Accent your interior with a true hero of mid-century design, the instantly recognisable Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen and manufactured by Fritz Hansen.
Designed in 1958 for the lobby and reception areas of the Royal Hotel Copenhagen, the Egg Chair’s fluid curves presented a sculptural contrast to the building’s straight-edges and vertical lines.
The Egg Chair was crafted using entirely new techniques for the time, Jacobsen being the first to utilise a strong foam inner shell underneath the upholstery. Using a unique creation process, Jacobsen tested and prototyped the shape and form of the Egg Chair using clay in his home garage.
Manufactured to exacting standards by Fritz Hansen, this edition of the Egg Chair is upholstered in supremely supple walnut-hued Elegance leather, meaning it retains its bold presence and immaculate presentation for transforming interiors in years to come.
