First launched at Salone del Mobile in 2010, the Elephant Chair is instantly striking in its originality.
Designed with the form and image of the elephant as a stimulus, the chair is an ergonomic structure, handcrafted in Italy by Kristalia. The Chair is designed with practical and stable natural beech wood legs, ensuring stability through a classic structure and complementary materials.
The seat shell is crafted from durable white polyurethane in an ergonomic form, creating comfort with fluid, contemporary lines.
Award-winning design duo Eva Paster and Michael Geldmacher’s shared design philosophy is to “transfer things which have got stuck in the past into the present.” Their creations reveal a devotion to classic industrial design, while maintaining a commitment to developing new forms and re-evaluating function, establishing fresh aesthetic expressions from forgotten designs.
A refined model and winner of the ‘Best of Best Interior Innovation Award 2012’, Paster and Geldmacher’s Elephant Chair provides enhanced comfort in an inimitable form.
