Magnus Long
Magnus Long is a British industrial designer based in London working within furniture, product and lighting design.
As head of Magnus Long Design Studio, Long works with a growing list of brands engaged with manufacture, craft and engineering. Influenced by changing human behaviours and industrial processes the studio’s work looks to simplify complexity in pursuit of elegant solutions which are positive, understandable and relevant to their audience.
Long was a founder of the award-winning collective Viable London and an Associate Lecturer at Central St Martins University. His seminal work was the iconic Standing Hanger, exhibited in Milan in 2005 and later at the Design Museum together with his collective.
