With its sculptural shape and elegant wooden legs, the Eames DSW is now an archetype of the genre of chairs.
Few designs have the legendary status and universal appeal of the effortlessly stylish Eames DSW chair, which is often referred to as the ‘Eiffel’ chair, due to its distinctively structural wooden base.
This timeless modernist design is featured in the collection renowned as the very first industrially produced plastic chairs, and was developed for the ‘Low-Cost Furniture Design’ competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
This current edition is a taller height than the original and made of recyclable dyed-through polypropylene; its fluid shape provides comfort and durability, in an icy grey hue. The stylish, four-legged maple base with cross struts adds an architectural edge to the design.
The selection of bases makes it possible to use the chairs in a wide variety of settings: from the dining room or home office, to the garden.
Shells are available in a broad range of colours and upholstery versions, so that components can be mixed and matched to produce the perfect chair to enliven your space.
