Exclusively available at The Conran Shop in the UK and first introduced by Tecta in 1984, the F41E Breuer-Couch in a natural cane finish is based on Marcel Breuer’s original designs from 1922.
The result of Breuer’s experimentation to combine refined seating with a bicycle, the F41E Chaise Longue features a double woven wicker seat, a matte polished stainless steel frame and nickel-plated wheels.
Easily maneuverable when sitting down thanks to the raised central wheel, the F41E Breuer-Couch would make a statement addition to any contemporary space.
One of the Bauhaus’ first students, Hungarian-born Marcel Breuer is widely considered one of the most popular and influential architects and furniture designers of the 20th century. Studying alongside and under design icons and artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Walter Gropius, Paul Klee and Josef Albers, Breuer went on to become a figurehead of the modernist movement.
