Conceptualised by Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari, the wireless Giravolta Light is a refined and simplified reimagining of the traditional oil lamp.
Available in green, red, black and white, with an integrated LED board, lithium battery and micro USB port for recharging, the Giravolta can light up a room for up to 8 hours. Even the name of this wireless design pays homage to Alessandro Volta’s most remarkable invention, the battery.
The LED diffuser rotates 360° and is held in place by a simple aluminium band, creating a practical handle. A cast iron ballast is integrated into the base to achieve optimal stability, whilst an optional magnet allows the lamp to be fixed to any metal surface, including the walls.
Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari have been creating designs focused on clean lines and strong character since 1997. Awarded the Young & Design prize in 1999 and the Good Design Award in 2007, they take much of their inspiration from adapting existing concepts and reimagining them into designs that function effectively with contemporary elements.
Available in 3 different sizes.
