Designed in 1953, this D.153.1 Leather Armchair is part of the furniture of Italian designer Gio Ponti’s private house in via Dezza in Milan.
This re-edition armchair is produced by Molteni&C using original drawings from the Ponti archives.
The sculptural brass frame features a solid fir wood structure with elastic straps, covered in custom polyurethane in different thicknesses and a bonded velveteen lining.
The European leather upholstery is carefully selected and treated to guarantee a smooth surface and tanned to create a subtle two-tone effect. All the treatments help to preserve the leather’s exceptional natural characteristics.
