Conceptualised by Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari for Pedrali, the wireless green Giravolta Floor Lamp 1799/130 is a refined and simplified reimagining of the traditional oil lamp.
Paying homage to Alessandro Volta’s most remarkable invention, the wireless Giravolta Floor Lamp can light a room for up to 8 hours. Suitable for inside and outdoor use and boasting an integrated LED board, lithium battery and micro USB port for recharging, the lamp provides the ultimate answer to portable lighting.
The LED diffuser rotates 360° and is held in place by a simple aluminium band, creating a practical handle, whilst a cast iron ballast is integrated into the base to achieve optimal stability.
Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari have been creating designs focused on clean lines and strong character since 1997. Awarded the Young & Design prize in 1999 and the Good Design Award in 2007, they take much of their inspiration from adapting existing concepts and reimagining them into designs that function effectively with contemporary elements.
