Expertly designed by Jean Prouvé for Vitra in 1944, the dark smoked oak Guéridon Bas Table is sure to lend a contemporary touch to any space.
Harking back to an original tropical wood version of the table called the ‘Table Africaine’, the Guéridon Bas Table is crafted from solid dark smoked oak and held together with powder-coated black bent sheet metal.
Having become increasingly focused on the nature and properties of wood, during the 1940s legendary French designer Jean Prouvé’s material of choice was solid wood. A skilled engineer, Jean Prouvé’s designs range from lighting and furniture to façade elements and prefabricated houses.
