Handcrafted in a unique process by Haeckels, the GPS 23’ 5”N scented candle is an aromatic snapshot, cataloguing local elements and botanicals such as Victorian roses, charred leather and smoky wood to reflect the site of an iconic Margate location from days gone by.
Designed on a cloudy 9th February in 2014, this scented candle is named after the exact map reference at which it was created. An aromatic snapshot of an iconic landmark, the site of the amusement park from the 1800s encompasses fragrances of the Victorian rose garden, underpinned with the smells of charred wood and leather from disused rides, which are beautifully captured in this natural candle.
This elegant scented candle is made with 100% natural, GM free soy wax for a truly eco-friendly finish that is longer-lasting than traditional paraffin wax, while the beautiful glass vessel is hand-blown by artisans to withstand high and low temperatures.
Based in a clifftop laboratory in Margate, Kent, Haeckels handcrafts each of its products, formulating and distilling them from local botanicals that offer the best antioxidant properties.
Founded in 2012 by volunteer beach warden Dom Bridges, Haeckels sets out to showcase the incredible natural ingredients the coast has to offer.
