'A chair that fits like a glove'.
Dedicated to the legendary baseball champion, Joe DiMaggio, the giant Joe Seat was designed in 1970 by Italian architects Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi. Part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the whimsical chair design is now considered a cult classic.
Exquisitely crafted in a handsome Scandinavian leather, that tends to absorb oils and stains to develop a patina over time, this inviting and immensely comfortable armchair has a steel frame with a preformed polyurethane foam padding, resting on four castors.
Today, the Joe chair is manufactured in Italy by Centro Studi Poltronova, and each model has a stamped embossing for proof of authentication.
