On Thursday 10th November, Christmas began with a bang at The Conran Shop as we celebrated the Marylebone Christmas lights switch-on with our friends and neighbours. Read on for a round-up of our event highlights, and ignite that seasonal fuzzy feeling.
The tube strikes weren’t enough to dull our festive spirit this year, as we opened our doors to hordes of patrons, customers and friends for the Merry Marylebone event this week. We were blown away by the turnout considering the lack of transport, and it truly invigorated us with a sense of community and neighbourly generosity - enough to get even the greatest of Scrooges in the mood for all things merry and bright.
To celebrate the event, we hosted an array of workshops, demonstrations, tastings and tipples to keep our guests entertained and give a little Christmas cheer to the local community. We began with mince pies and mulled wine, with offerings from Reemie’s Cakes and Tony’s Chocolonely for a hit of the luxury sweet stuff.
Whilst the young ones were getting their sugar fix, our adult guests were treated to samples of premium tequila from El Rayo and sustainably honey liqueurs from Beeble. Our longtime collaborators Scribble & Daub were on hand to help our guests create custom Christmas cards, whilst relaxing with complimentary massages from MALIN+GOETZ.
With festive face painting, refreshments by Mix and Muddle and a seasonal soundtrack by DJ Seb Emmins, who never disappoints, the event continued into the evening and gave us all a much-needed boost for the lead-up to the end of the year.
