From Rita Hayworth, to Julianne Moore to Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, a fiery red mane has helped turn many a woman into an instant sex symbol.
While ginger females reign supreme, male counterparts are often left out of the limelight until now. Think Prince Harry, Damien Lewis and Eddie Redmayne, ginger is no longer a dirty word as redheaded males take centre stage.
Celebrating red-haired male beauty and challenging negative ginger stereotypes comes RED HOT 100 – a groundbreaking coffee table book showcasing the hottest redhead guys in the world.
RED HOT 100 will be launching at The Conran Shop Chelsea with an exclusive book signing with the man behind the concept, fashion photographer and music video director, Thomas Knights. From 6-8pm, on Wednesday 15th October 2014.
A natural redhead himself, Knights has experienced personally the negative perceptions that come with being ginger, and having no red-haired male public role models to persuade him otherwise, he grew up feeling ashamed of his red roots.
RED HOT 100 aims to redefine the image of the redheaded male and positively rebrand ‘the ginger.’
Featuring famous faces such as Vampire Diaries actor Daniel Newman and Olympic Gold Medallist Greg Rutherford, the men featured in RED HOT 100 are masculine, chiselled, cool, and proud of the way they look.
As Knights explains: “We have been conditioned to think ginger men are ugly and weak. I wanted to flip this on its head and present the redheaded male as the 'ultimate' alpha male.”
