This season, we’re excited to announce the launch of Folk x The Conran Shop: an exclusive collaboration with modern British brand Folk that features casual tailoring and subtle details. Focused on easy-to-wear pieces that get better with age, we’ve taken a closer look at the collection and learnt a little more about the inspiration behind each design.
From casually-cut shirts to heavy-weight cotton twill utility aprons, the Folk x The Conran Shop collection is centred around ‘stay at home’ clothing, pieces that are simple to throw on and wear comfortably whether working from home or relaxing in the evening.
Epitomising Folk’s distinctive yet quietly elegant aesthetic, each garment is beautifully made with a high-quality construction for longevity and timeless style; the collection’s versatile, wearable pieces make perfect staples for every wardrobe.
All In The Detail
Whether it’s bespoke-design embroidery or the colour of the thread on a seam, subtle details are Folk’s signature style. The Folk x The Conran Shop collection showcases natural, sustainable corozo nut buttons, concealed adjustable features, heavy wash garment dyes and intricate stitching, while wide pockets and tape handles offer a relaxed or over-the-shoulder look.
Accented with distinctive Conran blue, the collection is punctuated with amber hues and a complementary palette of neutral, soft greys and off-whites.
Founded by Cathal McAteer in 2002, Folk navigates itself between streetwear and the architect-designer aesthetic, showcasing refined collections crafted from high quality, exclusive fabrics that reflect its excellent craftsmanship.
