This is the junior version of Verner Panton's quirky and expressive Panton Chair.
The original chair was designed by Panton in 1960 and with the assistance of Vitra a version of the chair was developed ready for series production in 1967. It was the first single material, single piece chair to be produced and it has become an iconic design classic with its fluid, cantilevered base resulting in great seating comfort.
This contemporary re-edition is made from recyclable polypropylene, instead of the original fibreglass, and is suitable for indoor and due to its UV- and weather-proof features it is outdoor use.
It is stackable to allow for easy storage and carries a stamp as a mark of authenticity.
It has won various design prizes worldwide and graces the collections of numerous renowned museums; one of the first models belongs to the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
This junior Panton chair will make a fantastic addition to a child's bedroom or playroom.
