Description

Details

The Everyday tableware collection by designer Emma Lacey is inspired by an avid interest in day-to-day functionality and simple design.

Hand-thrown in the UK using a fine stoneware clay, each piece in the collection – including mugs, espresso cups, egg cups, breakfast bowls, milk jugs and a teapot – is truly unique.

The subtle dented form gives a comforting and ergonomic shape, which is accentuated by the changing surface textures where the glaze reveals the clay.

Emma Lacey

Emma Lacey studied ceramics at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London and graduated in 2007. Lacey’s design-led tableware forms are explored and reinvented to create unusual and engaging objects. All her ceramic designs are handmade in the UK and her fine bone china offerings are produced in small factories in Stoke-on-Trent, the traditional home of the pottery industry. Other ranges are handcrafted in Lacey’s studio in North London using both traditional throwing and casting techniques.
