Designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1959, the Le Sfere Chandelier, also known as the Model 2109, references the designer's interest in the natural poetry of the lunar landscape.
The monumental light piece was reimagined by Astep in 2018 featuring 16 blown opaline glass spheres held in place by an intricate steel structure, each shaped in the image of the moon.
Founded by Alessandro Sarfatti, Astep combines the domestic landscape and experience with the latest technology, honouring evolution in design. A third-generation design entrepreneur with a legacy dating back to 1939, Sarfatti champions new designers and re-imagines icons, embracing fluidity and adaptability.
