Enliven your indoor plant displays with this small light grey Riihitie Plant Pot A, designed by Aino Aalto for Artek.
Expertly crafted from ceramic with a glossy light grey finish, the Riihitie Plant Pot A takes on a curved, organic shape devoid of corners. Originally intended for the terrace of the home Aino and Alvar Aalto built on Helsinki’s Riihitie Road, the undulating plant pot embodies her belief that even the smallest details are worthy of our time and attention.
Despite being featured in Artek’s presentation at the Paris World Fair in 1937, the Riihitie Plant Pot A didn’t enter production until recently. With a simple design and minimalist finish, the ceramic pot takes on an organic shape that would add a touch of design to any indoors display.
Founded in 1935 by Aino and Alvar Aalto, Maire Gullichsen, and Nils-Gustav Hahl, Artek introduced a new kind of every-day living, and today it is renowned as one of the world’s biggest names in interior design.
