Designed exclusively by The Conran Shop and crafted by Makaua, this naturally-hued tall cylinder storage basket would make the perfect rustic addition to any space.
Beautifully hand woven using sustainably sourced local palm tree leaves, this basket is not only eco-conscious, but also helps to support local communities. Approximately 300 local artisans of all ages are involved in the creation of this multi-purpose basket.
‘Makaua’ comes from the ancient Nahuatl language and means ‘the act of giving a hand.’ Makaua has collaborated with a community of artisans in southern Mexico to create Fairtrade, sustainable homewares exclusively for The Conran Shop.
Structurally strong and generously proportioned, this tall cylinder storage basket can also be used as a handy storage solution for your living space.
