Beautifully hand woven using sustainably sourced local palm tree leaves, this basket is not only eco-conscious, but also helps to support local communities. Approximately 300 local artisans of all ages are involved in the creation of this multi-purpose basket.

‘Makaua’ comes from the ancient Nahuatl language and means ‘the act of giving a hand.’ Makaua has collaborated with a community of artisans in southern Mexico to create Fairtrade, sustainable homewares exclusively for The Conran Shop.
