Designed in 1957 by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, the striking Paulistano chair was part of the living rooms of the athletic club of Sao Paulo and was introduced into the MoMA collection in 2007. The piece has been re-introduced by Objekto, the licensed manufacturers of da Rocha's designs and all chairs are manufactured in southern France.
The constructivist concept of the structure, made up from a single bent steel bar and cotton upholstery, make this chair a lightweight, durable and immensely comfortable design.
A perfect conservatory or lounge chair, the frame can be left outdoors permanently, although it is advised that the cover is always stored inside during periods of poor weather.
Also available with a semi-aniline leather cover or with a beautifully pure metal mesh cover over a stainless steel frame.
